I live in small parish village and a fabulous community of Wath Upon Dearne within the Dearne Valley of Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
My setting is located within 400 metres from Manvers Country Park and lake.
I find that the location of my setting is in the heart of great resources and with plenty of outside space including local shops, parks, woodland, lake and all within a very short walking distance.
It is safe and quiet and I use all these aspects on a daily basis to make sure that the children are outside gaining knowledge, exploring and getting lots of exercise.
I visit the local parks periodically during each week (weather permitting). This allows the children to run off steam and enjoy playing and spending time with the other children.
We regularly go on country walks around the lake with the smaller children, giving them time to amble and walk at their pace whilst they explore.
This enhances their experiences, letting them learn about their environment at their own pace and level.
I have a 5 bedroom three storey semi-detached house with large rooms and an open plan design downstairs including kitchen diner, play / activity room, downstairs toilet and wash room facilities, hallway and constant access to a secure large garden and a large activity / craft cabin.
The setting has two access and egress points and three emergency exit points.
